New workshop date

I am holding my next Raw and Living Foods Workshop on Sunday 23rd October.
Please email me on cathparker@yahoo.com if you are interested in coming along.
Thanks!

I’m on TV (in South Korea anyway)!

The lovely Soo from KRS TV filmed my most recent workshop and the following clip was shown on South Korean TV!
Enjoy.

Raw and Living Foods Workshop Sunday 10th July

My next workshop is on Sunday 10th July. It will be held in my house in Finsbury Park, N4. Please let me know if you would like to come along! This is the last workshop for a few months.
More information on the ‘workshops’ page.

Amazing directory of raw restaurants

Only if you are in the US, alas. Still, a great resource:
Rawspot, from the guys who brought you We Like It Raw.

I have also just come across this, sounds like a great idea for those who want to try some interesting raw food but don’t want to make it themselves:
Postie Potluck

Happy New Year everybody!

Why I am grateful for raw food

Apart from the obvious – better health, more energy, better quality sleep, clearer skin, thicker hair, easier washing-up! – I am so grateful to have the opportunity to meet such lovely vibrant and beautiful people at my workshops. Participants at my workshop yesterday included two girls who had travelled from Slovenia, one girl who had come from Norway, a yoga teacher who is about to move to Dallas, Texas and a musician who lives on a boat and dehydrates food using tealights.

What better way to spend a Sunday than in the company of such awesome people?

Workshop this Sunday 21st November

Just a couple of spaces left for my Raw and Living Foods Workshop this Sunday! Alissa Cohen Level 1 Chef Certification available. For more information see the ‘Workshops’ page and also my Alissa Cohen page for the menu.

Contact me on 07734 294 548 for more information and to book.

Vantra

I have just been for lunch at Vantra in Soho Street and highly recommend it! At the moment they are just serving from the buffet (which was delicious and a bargain at £6 a plate) – soon they will have a raw food selection available all day.

In my opinion it is worth going now anyway just for the buffet or a cup of tea. The space is beautiful, much larger and more comfortable than Vita.

New workshop dates added

As my yoga teaching takes up more of my time (see my website Yoga for a Vibrant Life) there is the risk that my raw food workshops may get overlooked!

So I am having an organising day and have posted dates for my workshops up to the end of March 2011. These are:

Sunday 21st November 2010
Sunday 23rd January 2011
Sunday 20th February 2011
Sunday 27th March 2011

I have not planned any workshops for December 2010 on the assumption that most will be busy with other things that month! However if there is enough interest then I will happily schedule a date – so please let me know.

Festival of Life

Have just got back from the Festival of Life – best bits for me were (in no particular order):
1 Kate Magic’s talk (always lovely to hear Kate)
2 Laura’s chocolate ganache pie – best lunch ever!
3 The news that Vantra is opening soon at 11 Soho Street in London (from the people who brought you Vita Organic)
4 Baobab powder delish, can’t wait to use it in some yummy raw concoctions
5 Seeing Gina again and trying her delicious sun-dried cherry tomatoes and olives (and going home with my bag full of them)

Only disappointed by the fact that Paradox wasn’t on until 8pm so I missed him – and the fact that the venue was just TOO full!
