Random things going on

I’ve done it again – this was supposed to be a page but it has ended up as a post.. when will I learn!

The London Vegan Festival , August 19th.

I shall be giving a talk and demo, and also will have some raw goodies for sale on my stall.  The festival should be a fantastic day, with lots of different things going on, and it is a bargain at only £1 entrance!

Yeeeayy for Gojis

Have just heard that the FSA have agreed NOT to ban gojis, so our precious berries are safe. Phew.

I went to the Bristol Vegan Fayre the weekend before last – was great, a lovely vibe, and I bumped into people from London every few minutes!  All the raw stalls seemed to be selling chocolate so of course I had to try them all – just in case the taste had changed since the last time..

I went to a lovely talk given by Kate Wood, and also a demo by Jess.  Didn’t go back for the Sunday, so missed one of my favourite ever bands, The Beat.  If anyone saw them, can they let me know how they were?  Although I suspect it is better I remember them as they were in the glory days of 2 Tone when I was at school..

Not much else to report on, apart from the fact that I have a couple of places left on the raw food workshop on Sunday 1st July, so let me know if you are interested in coming along.  If all my plans work out I may not be around much for the last few months of the year, so if you have been thinking of coming to a workshop then contact me now!

World Environment Day

Yes I know it was yesterday but better late than never.  I tried to be extra green by cycling to Notting Hill for NSA instead of taking the tube, walking to Islington for meditation instead of taking the bus, and having a wheatgrass hair and face pack (ho ho ho).

Now I don’t go shopping in Tesco anyway, have always disliked being in supermarkets, and that was when I was young and naive and didn’t realise the horrible power they have over us all.  But if you are yet to be persuaded then look here and see how they are yet again putting profits above humanity. Take a couple of minutes to sign the petition, they are trying to get 50,000 before it is sent to the big boss Leahy.

If any of you out there live near Cobham, I have just booked the village hall for a raw food workshop on Thursday 26th July.  Let me know if you are interested in coming, and pass the news on to anyone who you think may be interested.
